Read Six Bad Things by Charlie Huston. Loved it loved it loved it! Though I am not as sure as my sister is that it’s better than the first novel in the series, Caught Stealing. It certainly is more action packed, but one of my favorite things about Caught Stealing was that despite the fact that the main character is morally reprehensible and his actions seem less and less justifiable as the book progresses, you can’t help but like him (kind of a pseudo-Tony Soprano effect). In book 2, he is transformed into someone who is a bit more accustomed to his situation. While he is still ill prepared for what will happen to him, he has nonetheless become a different, less sympathetic character. Still an excellent book though.
