After his US Open heriocs, it looks like Tiger Woods will miss the rest of the 2008 golf season. He will need reconstructive surgery on his ACL. We knew about his knee troubles, but we didn’t know that last month he suffered two stress fractures in his left tibia. This man is a warrior but clearly needs some time to recover.
Tiger Woods just won the US Open! This was his 14th major win and his 7th time winning at Torrey Pines (the highest number of times for a player to win on a single course at a PGA tour event). He birdied the 18th hole to force sudden death and then birdied that hole to win the championship. What an incredible story this week!
There are no words to describe Tiger Woods today. He just dropped in a putt for eagle to take the outright lead after 54 holes in the 2008 US Open. This is some sort of destiny.
Tiger’s eagle put was his chip in on 17 for birdie. What an unbelievable round of golf. It’s not just Tiger’s 2 amazing shots. . .he’s visibly in pain after his recent left knee surgery. This guy is a machine.

Just over a month ago, I had PRK (photorefractive keratotomy) performed on both eyes. It’s a form of laser vision correction that doesn’t involve cutting a corneal flap like LASIK. The results so far: I’m 20/30 in my right eye and 20/25 in my left. Last week, my sister Richa got Lasik done and I believe she was 20/15 in both eyes the morning after her surgery. Like most PRK patients, I have LASIK recovery envy, but am still very happy with the results so far. It should continue to improve so I’ll let you know how it’s going!
